My Only True Belongings (2022)
Short film made in collaboration with Alice Li. An imagined archive of Li’s decorated skin, and her skin reimagined as archive. “WYSIATI: What you see is all there is,” writes psychologist Daniel Kahneman. “My actions are my only true belongings,” states the fifth and final of the Five Remembrances. It could all be so simple. In absence of essence, the surface of things is what’s truest.
